The Tinker House was built in the 1910’s and is constructed of timber columns, timber beams and timber floor system with a multi wythe brick shell. Throughout its storied past, this three story structure has stood the test of time and has become an icon on the east 16th street corridor at the intersection of the Monon Trail.

The building shell was kept as true to the original as possible by upgrading the windows, tuck pointing the existing brick and installing a new roof system. On the interior, the majority of the structure was left exposed to showcase the old-style timber construction while adding all of the current day amenities for the tenants.Site work for the project included bringing in all new utilities to the building as well as constructing a 4000 sq. ft. outdoor patio and 53 dedicated parking spaces.Inherent Commercial is proud to have played a part in transforming this beautiful structure which is now home to Hotel Tango Whiskey’s distillery, Provider Cafe, The Tinker House Events, & BlackInk IT offices.
