  • Greg LooneyBio
    Greg Looney

    Construction has been a passion of mine since I was a little kid. I always enjoyed seeing construction equipment, jobsites, and building things with my hands. I was born and raised in Indianapolis and obtained a Building Construction Management degree from Purdue University – West Lafayette (2009). I have a very supportive and loving wife, Amanda, and two rambunctious boys, Beckham (3) and Bodie (1). Although we do not have much spare time right now, we always enjoy live music (especially Dave Matthews Band) and I enjoy the hunt for hard to find bourbon.

    I lead the day to day operations for the company with a focus on client satisfaction, strategic direction, and creating a cohesive team. We can only be as strong as our weakest link, so one of the most crucial aspects of the business is that we all support one another. On each job, we strive to meet our clients’ expectations, communicate honestly, and support each other, so we will ultimately succeed.

    Joe Esselborn

    I was born and raised in Indianapolis and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction Management (BCM). Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying a new restaurant with my wife, and drinking a good bourbon or local beer with friends and family.

    I joined the Inherent Commercial team in 2017 as a Project Manager. My main responsibility is to oversee a construction project from the pre-construction phase to the point at which we turn over the keys. This ensures client satisfaction, on-time delivery, and keep the project within budget.

    Betsy Sullivan

    I was born and raised in Indy, graduated from IU, lived in San Diego for 8 years and then moved back to Indy in 2018. My favorite place to be is at the lake (Lake Michigan). We’re an outdoor family so whether it is 30 degrees or 90 degrees outside, my husband, two toddler kiddos, and I are hanging in our front yard, playing at the park, or walking on the Monon Trail.

    I lead the Business Development & Marketing initiatives for Inherent Commercial. In this role, my 11 years of sales and marketing experience allow me to fuse my three favorite things, the commercial real estate industry, building relationships, and tooting the Indy/Indiana horn.

    Lyndsy Cain

    I am a wife and mother of three. As a family, we love camping and playing board games. I enjoy jogging and reading as well. I also have a 20+ year passion for teaching people how to swim and I teach all ages from infants to adults.

    I was introduced to the Construction Industry while attending Massage Therapy school. After graduating, I took on an administrative roll for a General Contractor which has transpired into a 19-year career. I have assisted teams of all sizes in Estimating, Project Management, and Accounts Payable.

    Kyle Galloway

    I grew up in Indiana and enjoy just about any activity that involves the outdoors. From dirt bike riding to hunting and camping, I like to spend time with friends. 

    I am a Field Manager at Inherent Commercial and I have 30 years of construction experience. I have remodeled kitchens and bathrooms and I have also built custom homes. At one time, I traveled the country installing movie themed laser tag arenas. That lead me to fabricating and installing cabinets, countertops and trims back here in Indiana. In all my job experiences and recreational activities, I have found the key for any successful endeavor is communicating with others.

    Tony Spagnuolo

    I grew up in Brownsburg, attended Brownsburg High School, and have lived here most of my life. On the weekends, you can find me spending time with family and friends. I have been married for 15 years and have two boys, ages 10 and 13. These past few years have been spent at kids’ sporting events with our baseball family. We enjoy traveling to games, exploring cities, and drinking a few beers with this group of friends!

    I have worked in the commercial tenant improvement space the last 10 years as a superintendent and currently as a project manager. From subcontractors and property managers to construction managers and tenants, I enjoy building relationships and appreciate the friendships I have made along the way. It is always a fun feeling to complete a project, see the end result, and know how many people worked hard to make it happen!

    Brent Bauters

    After traveling around the Midwest during my childhood we settled in Bloomington, after which I attended Purdue University where I obtained a Building Construction Management degree. Outside of work my wife and I stay busy with our kids’ sports and hiking parks around the country.

    During my 15+ years of construction experience I have traveled throughout the United States in both the GC and Owner Agent roles. I’ve successfully delivered project ranging from tenant improvements to 5-story ground-up construction and multi-facility campus development. As VP of Construction Management I am the Owner’s eye’s, ears, and advocate for the duration of the project from preconstruction through warranty.

    Greg Sherwin

    I was born and raised in West Lafayette and graduated from Purdue University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction Management.  Over the years, I have worked for self-performing contactors as well as construction managers and developers.  The first ten years of my career was spent briefly as a superintendent, then quickly working my way into the office and up through the ranks of project management. As the Director of Pre-construction for Inherent Commercial, I leverage my combined experiences on the front end of projects to help lay a solid foundation so the “project kickoff” occurs during the Pre-construction phase.

    At home, I keep busy with two sons and two daughters.  My oldest son attends Purdue University and my oldest daughter attends Trine University.  I enjoy spending time in my workshop building projects for the house as well as fishing with the kids.  I’m a “maker” at heart and love inventing and finding solutions to problems.

    Mike Mattingly

    Michael’s values and vision for delivering quality healthcare, via real estate, evolve around creating meaningful partnerships, financing structures and a cohesive team approach to development. Michael has a decade of pre-construction management and real estate development support for medical and senior housing facilities across the country. Prior to co-founding Avenue Development, he lead a pre-construction team focusing on the expansion efforts of comprehensive care facilities nationally, and in five years was responsible for the leadership of a portfolio valued more than $300 million, covering over two million square feet. Michael spent years assisting on pre-construction efforts and design-assist activities for one of the Midwest’s largest medical builders, with projects ranging from large high-acuity hospitals to outpatient centers and medical office buildings. Michael is a Licensed Indiana Broker, Active with the Penrod Society and Alumni Board for Bishop Chatard HS. Michael graduated from Purdue University, BS Building Construction Management and Krannert School of Management, Finance.

    Laurie Schultz

    With a diverse development background, Laurie has spent her career balancing real estate investments with forward thinking healthcare trends.  Prior to co-founding Avenue, she developed projects in medical ambulatory care, post-acute rehabilitation, senior housing and market rate apartments exceeding $800 million in value. Ms. Schultz has an extensive background in advising healthcare systems and physician providers nationally to strategically expand, and created a predictive demographic model to target ambulatory care site selection.  She led a development team for the western half of the country for the largest skilled nursing development company in the nation focusing on short-term stay rehabilitation properties. Laurie has also developed 3,000+ units of market-rate, Class A, apartments and senior communities, and directed development for one of the country’s largest and most respected privately held apartment management and development firms, producing over $150 million of expansion across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.

    Laurie is a licensed Indiana Managing Broker with a CCIM Designation and is currently the 2019 Indiana CCIM Chapter Past-President 2018. She frequently is invited to speak at numerous real estate organizations and healthcare conferences including Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors Annual Conference and the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC).   Laurie graduated with cum laude honors from Butler University and is an active alumnus from the Lacy School of Business along with various other philanthropic organizations.
