I grew up in Cloverdale, where I currently live with my wife and three kids.  My family owns a large grain and swine farm that I worked on throughout my childhood and for a short time after college.  I graduated from Vincennes University with an Associate’s Degree in Building and Construction Technology.  My first job in construction was for a small general contractor in Cloverdale, where we built custom homes and some remodels.  I was able to land a job with a commercial construction company in Indianapolis where I started as a field engineer/assistant superintendent.  After a couple years, I was promoted to the role of superintendent.  During this time I was mainly involved with overseeing the construction of Hilton brand hotels, such as Hampton Inn and Home 2 Suites.  I also spent some time traveling the country building warehouses and doing maintenance for a major electrical supply company, as well as doing a major cleanup/stabilization project after Hurricane Laura in Louisiana.

On the weekends I love to spend time with my wife and kids.  We like to travel and find cool new restaurants and coffee shops.  I love to cook, especially on a barbecue smoker or open fire and I am a major coffee snob, always in search of a perfect cup.  I enjoy shooting guns and compound bows, listening to heavy metal, lifting weights,  and I love a good conspiracy theory.
